Position Overview: Server/Bartender

Location: Ross Bridge | Birmingham, AL

Status: Full-Time & Part-Time Available

Join our opening team! We’re looking for friendly, dependable Servers and Bartenders (21+) to pour wine, prep light snacks, and welcome the neighborhood to Von’s.

Shift Schedule & Availability

We offer flexibility with morning and evening shifts to fit your lifestyle.

Weekly Hours of Operation

  • Monday: CLOSED

  • Tuesday- Saturday:

    • 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    • 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Sunday:

    • 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    • 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Note: Shifts are typically split into morning and evening blocks based on availability and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

  • Expert Pouring: Serve wine and beer responsibly with a focus on quality presentation.

  • Engagement: Share menu and wine knowledge with guests in a warm, professional manner.

  • Small Plates: Prepare and serve light snacks and small plates with attention to detail.

Daily Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized bar and service area.

  • Follow all alcohol service, food safety, and health regulations.

  • Assist with opening and closing duties.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during peak Ross Bridge hours.

  • Lift and move kegs or cases as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Experience: Prior serving or bartending experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right personality!

  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift/move kegs.

  • Soft Skills: Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a reliable and punctual work ethic.

Required Certifications

Von’s will provide training and facilitate the following required certifications:

  • Alcohol Service Certification

  • Food Handling Certification
